Turkoil Firm to Enter Bosnian Market Print E-mail

Turkey's Türkoil has entered the Bosnian market by leasing 50 percent of the country’s total gas delivery.

Speaking to Anatolia news agency, Türkoil Foreign Investments Coordinator Mr Eren Veral said the company had around 150 gas stations in Turkey and has imported oil from northern Iraq since 2003 while also selling fuel to the region. He added that the company also had a refinery investment in the area.

Mr Veral said Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey had a special relationship, and they considered investment in the crisis stricken country as their responsibility.

According to data provided by Mr Veral, the company leased 10,000 cubic meters of fuel storage space near the Ploce Port’s oil terminal. They would further increase their storage capacity to 41,250 cubic meters by July when the company has full authority over 50 percent of the terminals that provide gas to local consumers.
