On 22nd July 2009 Anglo Adriatic
Ltd was appointed as Messrs. Igeotest S. L. local representative in Croatia during the
realization of Rijeka Gateway Project. Contract is signed between Rijeka Port
Authority and Igeotest S. L., for carrying out of GEOTECHNICAL SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR ZAGREB PIER
STAGE 2, consisting on the execution of exploratory
boreholes of the sea bed and cone penetration tests in order to obtain the
required design parameters to proceed with bearing capacity calculations and
foundation design.
N-500
The N-5000 is
a high-tech device for performing piezocone surveys from the sea bed using 5 cm2
non-extractive cones which perforate the subsoil at a constant velocity of 2
cm/s and with a thrust of 35 kN. This allows a theoretical point resistance of
70 MPa to be achieved.
