On 26th April 2008 newbuilding vessel Salacgriva has been launched in 3. Maj Shipyard, Rijeka, Croatia. This is ninth in line of ten vessel's ordered by Latvian Shipping Co. and our agency assistance of Anglo Adriatic Ltd.

This time the new tanker newbuilding has been granted the name of the coastal city of Salacgriva, as it is a tradition for LASCO to name its newbuildings after Latvian towns and regions. Deputy Chairman of Salacgriva City Council Dr. Skaidrīte Eglīte has been honored to become the ship’s Godmother.
